課程目標
歡迎選修通信原理,本課程涵蓋基礎的隨機程序,向量化隨機信號,類比通信系統及數位通信系統原理與分析,本課程適合擬以通信為主修的學生選修,所以有一定的深度,必須有機率及信號與系統的基礎,授課內容含有許多物理及電路的理念,且有非常多的機率、複變、積分、傅立葉等數學運算,故本課程有通信系統定性的探討如類比調頻及相位調變有不同的物理內涵,PCM由類比轉換到數位所產生的資訊遺失(loss)有不可逆性這些都可由定性探討得到結果。但若要知道相位調變比調頻好多少dB,或PCM由類比轉為數位增加多少訊雜比(Signal-to-noise)則必需有很嚴謹的數學計算。我以前在Bell Labs曾為如何將數位數據服務(DDS)的訊雜比提高1dB與多位同事研究很久,甚至將雜訊分佈由高斯分佈改為對數正規分佈(Log Normal distribution)。另一個例子是希望衛星接收機的低雜訊放大器(Low noise amplifier)之雜訊比值(Noise Figure)降低零點幾dB都要用盡電晶體模式,寬頻匹配理論等。所以在真正設計產品一定要有定性的概念及具備精確定量分析的能力。所以本課程一定會有非常多冗長的數學推導。欲選修的同學請看一下課程大綱,並有心理準備。另若非主修通信的同學想大約知道一些通信相關的概念可選修”通訊導論”。本課程每周上三小時三學分。
